Terms of Service

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and contribute to OurLocals.

If you are under 18, you should have permission from a parent or legal guardian before using the platform.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for any activity carried out through it.

Some features of OurLocals may be available without signing in, while others require an account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or harm the community.

OurLocals exists because of its community.

When you add a place, upload photos, write reviews, or share stories, you remain the owner of your content.

By submitting content to OurLocals, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as part of operating and improving the platform.

This licence allows us to display your contributions on the map, in search results, featured collections, and other areas of the platform.

You confirm that:

• You own the content or have permission to share it
• The information is accurate to the best of your knowledge
• Your content does not infringe anyone else's rights
• Your content does not violate any applicable laws
• Any photos you upload are yours to share

You may delete your own content or your account at any time, subject to our data retention practices described in our Privacy Policy.

OurLocals is a public community platform.

Places, stories, reviews, photographs, and other contributions you choose to publish may be visible to everyone using the platform.

Please think carefully before sharing personal or sensitive information publicly.

To help keep OurLocals useful and welcoming for everyone, you agree not to:

• Submit false or deliberately misleading information
• Create duplicate or spam listings
• Upload content that is abusive, hateful, threatening, or unlawful
• Post content that infringes another person's privacy or intellectual property
• Use the platform for scams, advertising, or other misleading commercial purposes
• Attempt to interfere with the operation or security of the platform
• Use automated tools to scrape or collect large amounts of data without permission

To maintain the quality of OurLocals, we may review, edit, restrict, or remove content that violates these Terms or our community standards.

We may also suspend or permanently remove accounts that repeatedly misuse the platform.

We are not obligated to publish, restore, or keep any content on the platform.

If you believe content is inaccurate, inappropriate, or harmful, you can report it for review.

OurLocals is built on contributions from the community.

While we encourage accurate and up-to-date information, we cannot guarantee that every place, review, photo, story, or address will always be complete, current, or correct.

Businesses may close, relocate, change ownership, or update their services over time.

The OurLocals name, branding, logos, design, software, and original platform content belong to OurLocals unless otherwise stated.

You retain ownership of the content you contribute.

However, by submitting content, you grant OurLocals the rights described in these Terms so that we can operate and display the platform.

OurLocals relies on trusted third-party providers for services such as authentication, hosting, mapping, storage, and other infrastructure.

Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the availability or policies of third-party services.

OurLocals is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We do not guarantee that the platform will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or free from errors.

Because much of the content is submitted by the community, we cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of every contribution.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OurLocals shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the platform.

This includes, but is not limited to, losses resulting from inaccurate information, unavailable services, user-generated content, or technical issues.

You may delete your account at any time.

If your account is removed, you may have the option to keep your public contributions available under an anonymous profile or permanently remove them, subject to our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in behaviour that harms the community or the platform.

We may update these Terms from time to time as OurLocals evolves.

If we make significant changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Your continued use of OurLocals after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

Any disputes relating to these Terms or your use of OurLocals will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.
